Checking the wiring
Tools:
88890074 Multimeter
1 NOTICE! Cut the current with the main switch.
2 Remove the
wire to be measured from the preheat
relay.
3 Remove connector B from the EMS2.
4 Use multimeter 9812519 to do a resistance meas-
urement between connector B (see circuit descrip-
tion) to the loosen wire.
R ≈ 0Ω.
Checking supply cable, fuel sensor
Tools:
885675 Break-out cable
88890053 Break-out cable
88890074 Multimeter
1 NOTICE! Turn ignition off.
2 Disconnect the connector from the sensor
3 TAD1250-1252 and TWD1643/TWD1663/
TWG1663GE:
Connect adapter cable 885675 to the cable har-
ness connector to the engine control unit.
TAD950-952 (with bleeding pump):
Connect adapter cable 88890053 to the cable har-
ness connector to the engine control unit.
4 Use multimeter 88890074 for voltage measure-
ment.
5 Turn ignition on.
Measurement points Nominal value
1 – 4 (no fuel bleeding pump) U ≈ 5 V
2 – 4 (with fuel bleeding pump) U ≈ 5 V
